Or consider adapting a fitting of some sort to attach onto the breather nipple with a hose running to exit underneath the bike.

An inexpensive rubber "L" fitting (from AutoZone) was used in this example.

An old rubber spark plug boot will fit over the breather nipple too.Angle cut the top and secure with a zip tie.No cost.

it's my understanding that you shouldn't just cap it, as your crank case needs to vent. That universal filter on the earlier post is good. you can find them on ebay with shipping for about 4 bucks. search for "crankcase vent"

im curious... why does it need a filter? air is coming OUT of it, not getting sucked into it...

The crankcase breather vent opening may be routed to exit underneath the bike, and without the addition of any filter.

If the added filter gets dirty or clogged with oil or water-logged or otherwise obstructed, the vent function will be impaired.

The stock system of venting through the air box would seem more environmentally friendly, and also provides some slight suction promoting draw from the breather.

Perhaps the added breather could prevent an insect from crawling into the vent opening, or help prevent water from entering an otherwise unconnected vent opening while washing the bike or riding through a gully-washer.

However, when an added breather becomes water-logged, or clogged with oil, or otherwise obstructed, such condition would impair function of the breather.

Just my 2ยข.
