My 1980 kz1000 LTD is stuttering at the top end of my throttle and only does this when I get on it fully and only at the top end. When I ease into to full turn of the throttle it runs fine. My jets are and I know it sounds crazy but it's the only combo that've I've found that works. I have mikuni 28's with 132.5 mains and 120 pilots, accell coils and 8.8mm wires. Air screws are out 1 1/4 turns with plugs gapped at .42... Also have pod style filters and a kerker 4 into 1 header. Bike idles perfectly at 1050rpm's starts right up and uses hardly no choke. Gets about 48 mpg as well. When I twist the throttle full turn, it pulls like a slapped ass horse but when the rpm gets about half way thru acceleration is when it wants to act like a fool and stutters. But if I ease on the throttle till its time to change gears, it runs fine. If anyone can tell my why this is and possibly tell me a fix it method or any suggestions. I would foreva in yer debt. So u give it full throttle she stutters but when u back off it picks up power again???? If that's the case your main jets are to big cause u to run rich I myself have been dealing with a stutter problem at high rpm as well kicks off nice bit then bogs down.... I wa running 127.5 in mine until they got a really good cleaning then she would hit a wall with rev... Checked plus they Were black meaning to much fuel I put a set of 105s in ran so much better sock on mine is a 107.5 I'm running open pods with te stock pipe I've been playing with my jets. Cause the 105 was to small ATM I have 110s in running smoother but not all there waitin for my 112.5 and my 115s to show so I can try those..... And if anyone can tell me of this is wrong doin but on mine wa thinking of trying to run 110s in 1 and 4 carbs then run 112.5 on 2 and 3 do to a higher heat in the center cause fuel evap...

Yup exactly what it's doin. Great on the bottom to mid range of the throttle but Boggs down on the upper side. Thinkin my mains may be a little big. I'll try the 127.5's to see how they pan out. I appreciate the input and everything ya said makes perfect sense. I'll let ya know how it goes. Ive been jackin with these carbs seems like forever and I'm finally gettin em where I want them. Thanks again
