I took my carbs apart and cleaned them. I got the bike running today and was able to start and give it throttle after I turned the valve to prime for a few seconds and then back to run. I took it for a drive in first gear but it just seems to use the fuel from the prime and then quits. Have to keep priming it.
Also when I took the peacock apart to clean it a month ago I couldn't see the spring it shows in the Clymer manual?
