Hello fellow KZ owners...I am back into the UJM 4 cyl worl with a new to me 78 650. I am used to bs series carbs that all my xs650s have and was wondering when you gurus rebuild them is there throttle shaft seals to replace? I know my bs-34s idled way better once i replaced them on my 74 TX650.

I haven't heard of that being a problem with the VM24 carbs. Ed

good to know. I Love this bike! Also discovered the horrible starting cold that they seem to have. (my TX is one kick with the choke) But im hoping some airbox rubbers and carb manifolds may breathe some life back into this thing. Runs pretty good as is and just had the valve lash done, but needs a few rubber items replaced!

Starting cold - full choke and don't touch the throttle. Replacing bad carb holders helps a lot. Ed
