Carbies for my 750E was created by Steiny
Sorry all, I know these types of questions come up often but it's doing my head in and I'm sick of searching the archives.

I'm needing a new set of carbs for my KZ750E and just need to know black and white what I need to search for on eBay etc.
Apart from searching for "KZ750 Carbies" what other makes and models can I be trying. I take it GPZ750s are the same but I've got know idea what else is suitable.

Thanks in advance fellas.

On ebay, could search 1980 KZ750 carb .

See link in my sig for help with navigating kawasaki.com to find models with the same carbs.

What's situation with existing carbs -- beyond any hope of restoration?

Good Fortune! :)

Thanks for the link.
I can see that it could be helpful but for some reason when ever I go to the diagram option on any kind of 1980 to about 1984 750 4 bike I get an "Internet explorer has modified this page to prevent cross site scripting" bar preventing me from viewing anything. I tried it on later models and it worked fine!!! Just my luck..

The original carbs all had split diaphragms and at the time seamed too expensive to repair so I sold them and installed a set off a GSX 750. I think thay may be slightly larger and apart from the choke being a bar mount control that I don't have and don't really want anyway, my mechanic hasn't been able to tune them properly. I will be taking the bike to another shop just in case it's the mechanics problem and not the carbs but wanted to be ready to find another set of carbs if I needed to.

Cheers

34mm Keihin CV
KZ750-E1 (1980)
KZ750-E2 (1981)
KZ750-H1 (LTD) (1980)
KZ750-H2 (LTD) (1981)
KZ750-H3 (LTD) (1982)
KZ750-H4 (LTD) (1983)

GPZ750 34mm Mikuni CV

Would also guess Mikuni could substitute for Kehin.
Suspect that specific carb tuning will be necessary regardless of brand.

Good Fortune! :)

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc.
Here's the link for help with finding information on kawasaki.com.
kzrider.com/forum/13-bike-related/376734...-info-on-kawasakicom

And there are a couple of other sites that provide similar info.

Am doubtful that the diameter of a front axle would be included.

Good Fortune! :)

Thanks for your help fellas. Parts are thin on the ground over here in OZ so any inside info is appreciated.

Cheers.

I ended up getting a second hand set of carbs in from the US and after a quick clean and check they went straight onto the bike. They're running way too rich so will need to check the jetting next.

Next question. Is there a way to use CV carbs without an air box? I was running pods on the old carbs and had been putting up with the carbs "fluttering" at higher speeds and windy conditions and would really like to run them again on these new carbs.
Apart from refitting the air box, what other options are available? Better/different air filters, some kind of shielding or deflection? Or am I just waisting my time?

Cheers
