I apologize if this question has already been answered, but I could not find it in the forum.

Can I fit j model carbs on my '80 police motor?

If, yes, can someone tell me what the boot dimension should be that I'm to order from Z1E?

81 and up carb boots for carb specific models.

Youre opening a can of worms unless you have the late model air box too. Best bet is to buy a Dynojet kit for them if youre running pods. Just ask ZIE for carb boots for 34mm Cv carbs. The boots will be bigger then the openings in the head. Get the good K&N pods too not the cheapo ones that block the air openings in the front of the CV carbs. Going to be expensive !

hey guys... thanks for the replies... mtkaw- yeah, i spoke with mike at Z1E and he went into the different aspects pros(not much) cons(too much) concernig putting the j model carbs on my kz ...so, yeah ...a can of worms. i just saw these things in a box on the ground at mid-ohio vintage days and snagged them up... maybe now i just start to build a j motor working out from the carbs ...lol. thanks again for the input
