Looking for some advice, I have an 84 Kz750 all stock/original condition right down to the factory 4-2 exhaust, stock air box and no engine mods, my issue is after the bike has been ridden and sits for 15-20 minutes it starts but stutters and seems to run lean for about a minute then no issues.Bike runs great through all rpm ranges after that, just seems like it needs partial choke every time after sitting a short time before riding again. Carbs have been rebuilt, synced, stock jetting/ needles. No other issues with the performance, it's just like starting it cold every time when it's actually hot.

Before you say its carb related, check your valve clearances. Sounds like tight valves.

I'll look into the valves but I didn't have this issue before having the carbs done. It's a little better since I shimmed the needles up.

Mixture screws not far enough out? What amount of turns from lightly seated are yours set at? Should be adjusted on each separately running when warm. Turn them in till the cylinder starts to lose RPM, then back out around 1/2 turn till it Idles nice on each. Some may end up quite different then others, depending.

Carbs were done by wiredgeorge carbs,I haven't changed any settings since he built them except putting one shim under each needle which helped a little, these needles have no grooves.I just took the tops off each carb to remove the shims and noticed fuel above each needle in the slider part of the diaphgram.
