Thanks for all the HELP, you guys, dont know what I"d do without all this EXPERT advise from this forum.... P.S.he is giving me a full refund I"ll just be out $15.00 to ship them back...his e-bay name is rpmusedpts....its a used motorcycle parts store.....Pete

Theres nothing wrong with 28s,theyre a really good carb.
just not $300.00 good unless somebody spent a lot of time rebuilding them

Did all 28 pumpers come with that bracket connecting the top caps? The kz1000 ST my buddy has did not have that bracket.

Also, the idle knob on the ST was the typical pot-metal, big knob on most KZ's from that era. The one in the photo seems to be missing the knob, or the knob is really tiny. Is that the normal knob on some 28 pumpers?

well, I sent the carbs back the same day I received them after gettimg help identifying them from all you guys here on the forom, a few days later he sent me an e-mail thru e-bay asking for my e-mail add. so he could send me some pics of some 29 smoothbores he got a hold of, but he said e-bay blocked my e-mail add. and that he was just sending them out to me....low and behold about a week and a half later, I recieved a package with a set of 29 smoothbore carbs marked A7 for the $300.00 that I was expecting to get back from him for the carbs I returned. I would definetly do bussiness with this guy again.....Pete
