This on a stock 1015 motor.

first off good to be back as i have not posted for a while.

2nd I'm getting lean popping at idle but mostly at 1/16-1/4 throttle

3rd the more I read about carb adjustment the more confused I get over the terms and what I have.

confusing to me is pilot screw vs idle mixture screw(air or fuel).

I have a screw coming in at an angle on the front(clean air side) of the slide is that a pilot adjustment screw or idle adjust? is there and idle adjust down by the bowls like on my 26's.((just looked again and there is NOT an screw here)

any help would be great. though I have cleaned them and they came off a running bike.

I have just been reading so much it is confusing....if that makes sense?(look at my name LOL)

do not know if you got help yet but yours is an air svrew. All it does is let more or less air into the carbs. I use 1 1/8 turn out on mine and am using 117.5 pilot with 120 mains. Thats what the plugs say do and it runs fine. Alot depends on your needle and the cut-away. My cut-away is 2.0. Happy tuning.

Am addicted to Z1's and kz 900's have an el camino, fly rc helicoptors and am strung out on horsepower.

Also, Check and make sure your timing is correct, and points are properly gapped. Then go back to the carb.
