Where's the "beating a dead horse" graphic? I've researched and it looks like 125 main jets is ideal for what I'm wanting. BUT want to be sure. It's a bone stock 83 KZ1100 ltd, with pods and will be getting some exhaust mods sometime when I find the right sound. Less restrictive for sure. No other modifications other than the ports on the valve covers blocked off as I removed all that EPA garbage.

I guess you are asking a question about where to start for jetting with pods and possibly header exhaust. My jetting info below on my 83 KZ1100 Spectre with 4 to 1 headers. The rest is stock with about 20000 original miles.

air filters K&N RU-0984 (pods)
Pilots 40 1.5 turns out
Mains 135 (cylinders 2 and 3)
Mains 132.5 (cylinders 1 and 4)
Needles 5ix11 set on clip 2 from the top (these are readily available and have 5 clip positions)
elevation 500 ft.

The yamaha 5ix11 needles IMO are definitely the ticket. Started on clip 3 from top and moved to 2 from the top. This needle is very close to the 5GX29 a 5 clip adjustable needle used in the KZ1100-A non-US models. The 5ix11 is readily available where the 5GX29 is not.

K&N RU-0984 (pods)
4 into 1 Header
Pilots 40 1.5 turns out
Mains 135 (cylinders 2 and 3)

Other than the pods were do you get the needles mains pilots and stuff Z1?

I bought the needles here www.mikesxs.net/product/48-0663.html They are Mikuni 5ix11

The mains and pilots you can get from many places and probably the needles as well. I have bought some jets from sudco.com. Search for Mikuni pilots N151.067-40 and mains N100.604 #132.5 and N100.604 #135

Hey Grant thanks can you get those rubber boots thingy (I know real technical term their) there are four of them for the choke lever at mikexs?
At Z1 they want $11.90 each for them.
