Don't know for sure, but there are two things that I can think of to consider:

1. The bike doesn't generate as much electricity as a car does, not sure how much draw a car pump would create.
2. Size is an issue on a bike, not so much in a car.

Walbro GSL 393 is almost identical and is readily available.

Or if you want to go the cheap way, same pump on 87-90 Ford F150 trucks with the 4.9L six. May be on the V8s also, never checked.

Yeah, as long as same pressure/flow rate and 12V, you're good to go.

Your pump probably produces PSI at Idle, and 35 PSI when the throttle is moved. Try tese suppliers:

Since there is a 90 degree fitting on the end of the stock pump, it would require some refit to run another. Otherwise a replacement should be straight forward. The pressure is handled by the regulator, and an adjustable one would be a good Idea. Then you will have some tuning available.
Have you checked the pumps input screen to see if it is plugged?
Does the pump turn when using jumper leads and a 10 amp in-line fuse?
If not look at the Double relay, one side is for the pump, the other the Computer.
