BS34 pilot jets was created by baldy110
I have a set of BS34's and I want to replace the pilot jets from 37.5 to a 40. I have a box full of pilot jets however they are the bleed type, little holes drilled on the sides. The ones I pulled out of the BS34 were not the bleed style, no little holes in the sides. Will the bleed type work? Thanks

I've been running the 40 Bleed type in the 82 K2 BS34's with no problems. They are fine. Only a slight bit of difference from the non-bleed type.

Changing up to a 40 (bleed type) will work fine, but why???
It isnt necessary - even with pods, and may make the bike a little sluggish off the line.
What is deffinately required is the proper needle taper - that can only be aquired from a jet kit... or maybe Sudco?
BS34 + Pods = Headaches and sacrifice of power in some spot in the throttle/rpm range.
... course you could have a pumped motor, and may require it...
Good luck!

I have a modified engine, bigger bore, higher compression and head work.
