CV Rebuild Kit 'O' Rings was created by mwriders
So, here's a simple question. The attached picture is of a typical CV rebuild kit (Z1's version). The picture shows three 'O' rings of three sizes. For what specific application is each size ring intended?

that rebuild kit is like the one I use on the CV34s on my 750/4.
One O ring goes with the metal washer on the end of the brass mixture screw. One goes on the end of the drain screw and one is for the plastic plug that covers my pilot jet. Offhand I cant remember which o ring goes on the mixture screw so I would suggest you check when you remove the screw. Once you pin that one down the other two will follow.
Good luck

My problem is that the carbs came in a box and were not complete. For instance, the plastic plug had been replaced by a screw inserted in a piece of plastic tubing. So, I can't follow the strategy of putting things back together the way they came apart. My question is which 'O' ring is designed for the plastic plug and which is intended for the pilot screw.

I am pretty sure - not totally - that the larger O ring is for the plug. May be a tight fit and may need to be shaved a bit but as to the other 2 I am just not sure at all. Surely there must be a drain screw or mixture screw in there with an O ring still on it for comparison ?

Sorry cant be more help.
