At first the bike would not start even with carburetor cleaner and a fresh battery, I took off the tank to get a better look and somehow the left carburetor started to fall out. It wasn't seated all the way in and from jarring it while removing the hoses it pulled right out. so i put it in. And of course it started, so i'm sure that was the starting issue.
the rpm flew up to 9000 and stayed there so i shut it down and turned the idle screw. When i got it down to 1500 i sprayed fluid and found two leaks, one at the boot on the left carb, one at the cap above the diaphragm on the right. Surprisingly, The screw hole, gave me nothing.
After it dies from the starting fluid, i have a really hard time starting back up, and i have to adjust the idle every time.
Its dark out, so im going to wait until morning to try and seal the leaks and ill let u guys know how it goes...

Oh man, I hate when that happens! I'm glad it was something obvious. Tomorrow is another day!

Ok so this is where im at right now. After a couple of days of frustration, The carbs started making a sound like something was smacking so i pull them off and take another look, Turns out the bleed pipe underneath the main pipe wasnt screwed down. Whoops. So i think i have finally found the problem for sure. I put them back on, same symptoms. After a day of wd40 i was able to get the screws off the caps to the diaphragms. Turns out, probably because of excessive gas going through, the vacuum piston was seized. So now, my hopefully final question, What is the most effective way to loosen this without damage to my brand new diaphragm???

got it. put them back together and now she hunts really bad, i think this is because we did the sync when i had one carb flooding. So now i have to get hold of the gauge to re sync them.. And hopefully, i wont have to open these carbs again for a while. We'll see..
