Rebuild kits that are no longer manufactured was created by Roscoe76
Anyone know a source for carb rebuild kits for a 76 kz400? I've checked old bike barn, bike bandit, Z1 and such but they don't seem to be manufactured anymore. The 77's and beyond are easy but mine's a challenge. I'm wondering if there's some company out there making aftermarket kits for discontinued models and parts.
Thanks.
Thanks.

try Sirius Consolidated
www.siriusconinc.com/
They show a kit for 76 - 78 listing several models. Put "kz400" in the Model Description search box

Could get the needed individual part numbers from kawasaki.com, and give Sudco a call.

Might get lucky.

Take a look at Kawasaki.com parts diagrams to see which piece(s) you need. Then see if those pieces were the same on later KZ400 carbs (most of the stuff is the same from '74-'78 according to the diagrams). Then you can determine exactly which pieces from the later kits will work in your carbs and which pieces you still need to track down. Also, you will find that some of the parts are still active and available from Kawasaki, but they may not be parts you are looking to replace. Ed
