Both 650s combined to make one great bike! with a new powerplant
it is a 79 frame, 78 front end, both 78 wheels and brakes, 78 body work and a 80' 750-4 motor with gpz 750 cams and a kerker and...
fresh built kz750 4 carbs?? was created by bearshawk
hey all, i have what i believe are VM24's accel pump versioin
the bike is a 750-4 in a SR650 frame with kerker, pods, and GPZ cams
i am wondering if i would benefit from different carbs like 26's or even 28's i have a long winter ahead of me and i want to make this bike run as smoothly as possible, i feel like shes a bit lean right now with 115 mains and 17.5 pilots but i ran out of riding weather before i got much tuning in.
the bike runs ok now but i bog down in the early RPMS and it hesitates a bit, i also have an occasional backfire through the carbs.
any help or advice on this subject would be great.
Thanks,
Ian

Not sure which model your motor is out of, but my 750 E has cv34's (maybe cv 32's...can't remember for sure). VM24 sounds really small to me, but I'm not sure what the ltd, and spectre motors came with

Well you see, the 750 motor is a E motor and its in my 650 frame...it should have had CV's on there before but i like the manual slide carbs better, it is far off stock jetting right now.. and im just wondering if there are any BETTER carbs for this application. hopefully the VM series
Thanks for the responses though

I have seen people say the 26mm can make a big difference, properly tuned any of them should work. The bigger carbs will give you more power on the top end when you are flowing more air, afaik.
