1/ One to seal when the petcock is screwed onto the tank
2/ One to seal when drain bowl of the petcock to the petcock main body
3/ One for the tap handle (the small ring on the handle itself when it is removed.
As for the 4th one i dunno!!
By the way, whats the best way to clean it? Baking Soda solution, vinegar solution or soak in Coca Cola?

Only three o'rings are used in the oem petcock at hand.
The kits are used for several different models, which might explain the 4th o'ring.
Be careful of using any strong cleaner on the conical shaped "plastic" area located at end of the lever handle, because it might risk damaging the "plastic" surface which is supposed to smoothly and snugly rotate inside the metal housing.
When the "plastic" cone gets scratched or otherwise damaged, the petcock will likely leak regardless of fitting a "repair kit."
I have been unsuccessful in attempting to "re-grind" the plastic cone to restore its fit inside the housing.
Good Fortune!

Patton, the plastic piece you mention hasn't been exposed to anything, it was removed & set aside, I tried the vinegar solution & then a baking soda solution, I'm not expecting miracles but they didnt show much noticeable difference. Now ALL parts are soaking in coca cola, apart from the filter. I appreciate the warning advice though
