Leaky Boot but no cracks? was created by KZ7hundy
So i had a slow fuel leak coming from one of my intake manifolds and i removed it to replace it but I see no cracks or damage at all. Could it still be faulty in some way?

slow fuel leak would be a stuck float or level too high.
what does the air box look like wet with gas?

+1
Check your float level. Gas should never be leaking out of intake boots.

Yes the airbox had some gas in it. I replaced the boot and no more sporadic idling or rough riding in 1st gear so the vacuum leak is fixed. Do I still need to be worried about a slow leak now though?

Was it only leaking while running? I don't think I've heard of fuel leaking through the boots, unless it was from a stuck, or improperly adjusted float level. It only takes a few minutes to check, so I would double check that before assuming it is fixed.

If you have a vacuum petcock, or even a manual one that is turned off, the gas will only leak with the petcock on (engine running for vacuum). It's up to you, but personally I would check to make sure it's set right.
