CV34 versus CV40 parts (is needle jet the same?)

Hi. I've got the CV34 carbs on my KZ750 and I am contemplating getting some upgraded emulsion tubes (needle jets). On a different bike I had enjoyed the crisper running with a yost performance power tube. It's got a bit slicker design than the stock part with finer and better placed holes. The emulsion tube is often sold with a kit of other stuff which makes it all too expensive for me since I need 4X, so I am considering something like a CVP velocity emulsion tube which is around $15 ea.

Anyways, these are made for the CV40 carb, so that has me wondering if the CV40 needle jet is the same as the CV34 needle jet. Does anyone know?

I pulled one (cv34 needle jet) and compared it with some internet cv40 pictures and I don't think they are interchangeable. The hole count and size, and overall length don't look the same.

I have some small drill bits coming in so I think I will just put 6 holes along each side instead of 2-3 and see what it does.

That will change that emulsion tube a lot.
Google the Emulsion tube and do some reading on how it works and its function in the carbs circuit.
They are not cheap parts.

Yes, I read some great descriptions, and it is fascinating how the emulsion tube works with the placement and size of the holes. A careful study is required before any modifications.
