81 KZ440 air filter was created by jordanka16
I recently purchased an 81 KZ440 D2 LTD that is missing it's factory flip up air filter. Right now it just has a piece of foam clamped to the air box (not sure if that's what it's actually called).
I am wondering if I should just switch to pod filters, which I can easily order at my local motorcycle store, or keep searching for a factory one. I have already searched everywhere I can think of, ebay, all different parts places, and have been unable to find one. So any leads on where one might be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Killman, and I've sent you a PM.
On a side note, the bike starts fairly easy. It takes a few cranks with the choke all the way on when it's cold, but it does start up. It doesn't run very well until it's warmed up for several minutes though, and it still pops and sputters sometimes in the low end. Would the factory air filter fix this? Or is it something else?

Ahh, I'm used to getting email alerts when I have new PMs.
I got your PM and I replied Killman, and I got yours too martin. I am very hopeful that the stock filter will solve the running problems the bike has.
