Please do post the pics.
Meanwhile, would regain possession of the carbs, kits and slide.
Carbs might be salvageable.

it was as I feared... the "pro" Ham handed my carbs because he was rushing as he had not touched them for months... he snapped off one of the aluminum pillars that hold the pin for the floats... LOL.. some pro right! He also munged up the screws in the bottom end... all in all it looks salvagable with on new Carb body... I will take my time and re-biuld them slowly myself... I picked up a new/used rack off ebay for cheap.. the bike was supposed to have been running less then a Weedon ago and hopefully ill be able to just slap these puppies on... the rack is off a 1981 Ltd.. I might have to change some jetting... but I have the jets in my rack... we will see... they should he in soon..

sorry gents, i have been hanging my knees in the breeze and not posting. the new rack came in and was as advertized.. i slapped it on, wrapped up a few other small issues and she started up like a champ. well that is, she started after i tore off the pingle(expensive!!) petcock and built a simple valve w in line fuel filter. the old girl is off the back poarch and now lives in the driveway!
the carbs came off an 81 LTD, but seem to be doing just peachy. bfires up nicely, a min or two on choke then drops off just fine. she is idling a bit high at 1500-1700 rpms (off choke) but i think i have an air leak. i will be upgrading the boot clamps asap. want to verify this before i play w the idle screw.
i will be posting the whole biuld soon. i just need to stop riding her and upload the pick...
this place is awesome and you gents have helped me a ton along my journey... thank you again..
