If I need carbs for my 82 GPZ 750 what is compatible??
Would carbs from a late model Zephyr work??

Geesh... So few of the Zephyrs were seen in the states, I don't know if the spacing is the same as your 82.
I do know that you can use any of the early KZ BS series carbs (if recalibrated properly) and in a pinch the KZ Keihins (from the KZ750s). You can use the carbs from the cop bikes, J motor KZ1000s and the KZ1100s.
If you were interested in going with round slide carbs, any of the 73-80 Z1, KZ900 KZ1000 VM series carbs will work if you swap intake manifolds, the cables and use pods or find an airbox with small diameter intake rubbers (43mm vs 52mm for your carbs).
