BS34's, or 29 Smoothies, or ???

Do I keep and rebuild the BS34's?
Do I pursue the 29's that I have a line on?
Or do I buy something else?
Basic specs of the build is 1075, 10.5:1CR, .418 lift cam, mild porting, 4 into 1, with Pods.
I know a lot of you guys have some real world experience in this area, so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jack

That leads to another good question, what would be a "reasonable" price to pay for 29's?

29's are starting to generate stupid money and wireman brings up an excellent point...they are still making quality aftermarket carbs that work well and USED 29's are approaching their prices...why bother with 29's (unless you can get them less than the US$700-$800 buyers are currently asking)...remember though, you may drop $400-500 on a set of 29's and still have to have them rebuilt.

Test.. I have actually been following your thread for awhile. Love the build, I will have to do some checking on the RS34's as an option.

I'm thinking about doing something similar with my Z1000R but I'm still in "research mode" seeing how I got a hard time figuring out the gains of a 1075 or 1105 high comp wiseco kit and comparing that to what more I have to do to the engine to make the kit work as intended.
I've been looking at the RS34's seeing how they are 100$ cheeper then the Keihin CR's but I'm leaning more towards the CR's 29's or 31's at this stage.
Seeing how my riding style would probably never, or very seldom, take me past 100 mph I'm trying to figuring out the best way to gain performance in the low- to mid range willingly sacrificing some mph and pull at the top end.
I'll follow your progress with interest!

If one would go the 1075cm3 route, with a rack of 29's, fitting a new pair of cams (web cams #118 maybe?) would a port job be an aditional way to boost power or would this just be beneficially with some kind of valve job (or the correct cam?), maybe going up a size on the intake and exhaust valve? I'm trying to figuring out the best way to benefit the CR 29's + the wiseco 1075 (and the 4-1 kerker + k&n pods) as much as possible ang gaining performance where I'll mostly ride (0-75% or rpm range).
Sorry for asking to many question in a thread that I didn't start
