Fuel line clamp? was created by mvent
What type of fuel line clamp are most using? Tried to get original spring type with no luck locally, it almost seems that the fuel line is so tight on nipples for carb inlet , fuel filters and petcockk, almost don't need them, but don't want to take any chances.
Thanks
Mike

Ditto. Mine stay where they are supposed to....though sometimes it makes me nervous. Might not be a bad idea to look into.

If possible when using the Nylon ties, use the black ones as the white ones are not UV(ultra violet) resistant and will crack/fall off over time.

Improvising a clamp is easy enough. I like the Stainless Safety wire, and just twist it till tight, cut off the excess then bent the end flat back against the loop of wire. Won't rust like mechanics wire and can be re-tightened or just cut off easily.

Also if you want the spring clamps, Dorman sells a pack for under $4. They have it at Pep Boy's here anyway. Most in-line car filters can be had with two short pieces of line and spring clamps for under $5. You just have to be careful so i will be able to flow with a gravity fed system.

Thanks guys, had a bag of thin black zip ties, worked perfectly and clean, those suckers were so tuff getting on, doubt I needed them.
Getting close, was able to borrow an old Kerker, should get it fired up this week!
