carb hoses was created by 78kz400
78 kz400 with a kehin 36X2 carbs. Does anyone know what the 2 hoses that come out from the side of the carbs are for, its not the hoses at the bottom of the float bowls(overflow), these stick out from the side.
I have one that is broken(left side) but the other one is fine. What are these ports for and do they need hoses or will it make any difference if i have just one hose on the good one and not on the other side. I thought they might be some sort of atmospheric preasure ports or somthing like that, any info would be great

Likely vent hoses for the float bowls.
The vent hoses exit to open air.
And are often routed to exit underneath the seat or underneath the bike.
Check out the carb diagrams on kawasaki.com
Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc.
Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.
