RS34's on KZ750 ? was created by M357.5
Hey carb gurus, I have a set of Mikuni RS34 flat slide carburetors and was thinking about using them on my 750 project. How well would a stock 750 deal with a carb this large/radical on it ? Or would I be looking at aftermarket cams and a big bore kit + porting the head to make these work ?

I'd love to use them, but dont want to put a ton of money into the engine just to be able to.

Pretty simple answer, since u already have them.:)
Theoretically the specs would say these are too big, but Mikuni does recommend them for 750cc’s.
a lot of guys use them when they got with 810cc kits. i would go ahead and try them since u have them anyways. Nothing to loose, lots to learn.
what u will experience is a loss of low end power :( and a gain in top end power  . if that makes u say wow :woohoo: ! then your good. if it make u say , this sucks  then u know what to do.

i ran rs34s on my z810 (now run bs34s) should be fine as long as you can ride them properly don't snap the throttle at low to mid revs as it will just bog you have to "feed" the carbs in, but for high end performance can't beat them! and they look so god damn cool!

WAY TOO BIG. RS34 and BS34 are not the same throat size. BS34s only have a 31mm throat opening. I doubt you will produce enough vacuum to make them run properly. Normally they would be way too big for even a stock 1000cc motor.

RS34S will WORK ON A 750 BUT NOT SUITED TO A STANDARD ENGINE YOU WOULD NEED QUITE A RADICAL TUNE TO USE THEM PROPERLY.
