it ran great. In doing research on the carbs, I've seen the numbers stamped on the flange sides. Anybody know where to find a chart or something on what info is revealed in these numbers. Probably a guy named George will know! He's wired with that stuff. I'll post some pics of my 7 bikes soon. Don't tell the wife.
The numbers I'm talking about are the ones that are stamped into the flanges of each individual carb. There are 1098 9P 15 four on each side. Lift the choke lever and they are where the carb meets the mounting plate for all four carbs.

Not sure what numbers or exactly where you are seeing them but those carbs should be the VM28SS carbs. They are easy to work on and still come up from time to time on eBay for around $100 for a set in some condition or another if the slides are crap or such on yours.
Your tank is going to be the thing, drain it and see what comes out, check for bubbles in the paint on the bottom edges of the tank, especially on the petcock side if it sat on the side stand. Once you get it running just remember stopping and staying attached to the pavement is more important, so brakes and tires are a must on a 31 year old bike!

After the rebuild I now have an extra 100 miles on it. It runs great and rides real smooth.

Windows' "MS Paint" is one of several programs available to re-size images.
When re-sizing, I usually save the image as a jpeg file.
KZR pic size limits:
Width: 2400px
Height: 1200px
Size: 2048kb (2 MB)
Even where an over-sized image is submitted for posting in a forum thread, KZr may automatically reduce it to the maximum acceptable size.
Am uncertain about what's going on with the "fakepath" reports.
Good Fortune!
