Air filter was created by 2bskor
I have a 1979 kz1000e1. When i bought the bike there was no air filter in the box, however I cant for the life of me figure how a filter will fit in this box. Does anyone else out there have an idea. I believe a ka1150 k&n is called for??. There seems to be no "paper filter" available. The box seems so small!!

Hey, I've still got that K&N KA-1150 if you want it, like I offered in your previous post.

To get to the filter, lift the seat and open the lid on top of the air box.
The filter should just slide in. The rubber gasket on the filter faces aft.
Your local Kaw dealer should have them, maybe $10.00, if I remember right.

Thanks, I just couldn't figure out what direction the filter fitted. I thought it would surrond the four carb intakes. The picture is smack on!!
