Hey guys, im seem to be having an issue with fuel coming out of the overflow hoses!if you have the petcock to the on, it only leaks a little bit after you shut the bike off.Now if you put it to reserve it just pours out very bad!! i took carbs off thinking a float was stuck but when i pulled them off, they where fine! any help would be great thanks!!!

Do all 4 carbs overflow? I would clean the float valve needles & orifices carefully with Q-tip and carb cleaner. If they still leak I would replace them. I suspect that the reason the fuel overflow is heavier when you put the petcock on reserve is that on reserve the petcock opens up a lower orifice inside the fuel tank. This means the pressure, which is relative to the top of the fuel in the tank to the petcock orifice that is open, is greater on reserve than in the normal position. The other possiblity is that the fuel level (float tangs) is set too high, but if the problem is on all 4 carbs that seems highly unlikely. Ed

Probably a petcock issue PLUS problem(s) with float valve and/or float and/or float adjustment and/or float function and/or overflow tube crack.
Fuel may have entered the crankcase and contaminated the oil.
Would "sniff-test" the oil and examine its physical condition.
Good Fortune!
