New Jet needles? was created by mtbspeedfreak
Hey guys, I've put 20k miles on my KZ900 in the last year and need to rejet- would you recommend replacing the needles simply for preventative wear purposes?

If it has tits or tires, it'll give you problems!

I've got 80k miles on my KZ-750 and I am still running the original needles.

I wouldn't replace the needles unless there was some sign of wear. If you can see that the anodizing is worn through, then I would consider it. However, the needle jets do tend to get worn by the needles. Eventually the hole becomes oblong, and will cause tuning issues, but at 20K I'm not sure if it would be an issue yet.
