Ok just took oportunity to strip and clean carbs whilst putting a new starter on. Now I cant get the fuel to flow:(
I have attached the vacuum pipe from the tank to the carbs, put the pipes back to the vacuum from the rocker covers so now at a bit of a loss:( also am definetly getting a flow from the tank its just not getting sucked through the carbs?
Have I missed something stupid? Took all plugs out and none of the wet with fuel and sparking as they should be?
Cheers

Not trying to talk to you like you're stupid because obviously if you did the rebuild, you know what you are doing, but just some basics first. Make model and year of the bike would help. Also, if you're using inline fuel filters, make sure they're put in going the right direction. Fuel only flows one way through them. I can't begin to tell you how many times i've put them in backwards without thinking. Also it might be a good idea to pull the banjo bolt on your carb float bowls just to see if they are filling up. Assuming they are not, next step would be to make sure your needles that allow fuel to flow into your float bowls aren't stuck closed. If you just did a carb rebuild and you put new needles in, they often times will stick. If you don't want to pull the carbs apart, sometimes tapping gently, and I mean gently with a hammer on your carbs will cause them to become unstuck. These are the things I would check first before moving on to something more complicated.
Just fix it 'til its broke.

Ooppss
Bike is an 82 KZ1100. Fuel is flowing fine when remove pipe after in line filter. The carb strip was a basic run wires and cleaner through jets (one of which was in the float bowl!). Have just bought this bike and rode 80 miles home and found starter goosed so thought make carbs run smoother…doh!

Took off carbs to the noise of a metallic clink! Seems I snagged the throttle linkage with over long screw on carb mount  sorted and running
