140 is way too big I would not go over 120\125 max. Pods are extremely hard to tune. Good luck. If you want better performance go with bigger carbs

If you really want the fewest problems, put the factory intake system (air box, filter, and all) back on. If you have a 750 twin with BS34 carbs, they are notoriously difficult to tune for individual filters, and you will likely loose a little performance along the way.
Unless you are going to add high compression pistons, ported head, high performance cams and bigger carbs, there really is no point in individual filters. The stock setup flows as much as the stock engine needs.

Actually I have a kz 750 ltd 1982, heihin carburetors. But Im so fucking confused because of leaking fuel to the airbox. And when I open the carburetor the float valves mooves freely, have already cleaned EVERY part of the carburetor, the only thing I think it is, is a dirty diaphram inside the petcock because of a dirty gas tank.

I tried poking around the forum to get a feel for thoughts on raising the jet needle. If in fact the needle jet were worn I would assume a rich condition. As stated my issue was with a lean quarter to 3/4 throttle.

Is it possible to wheelie a kz1000? Just asking cuz Ive never even tried? Im having the mid range blues also (KZ1000 ltd 1977 pods and 4 into one's all other engine specs good) I raised the needle tonight testing it tomorrow. Adjusting fuel screw out one turn I got max rpm on number 4, but do I set them all the same or do I adjust for max rpm no matter where they end up on the rest?

Tesk .....Same bike same problem , mate (Mikuni carbs) . see my post on PETCOCKPROBLEMS" CARBURETTOR forum on here . However having dealt with THAT , I went out yesterday to find No 2 carb flooding . in traffic and at lights queues and roundabouts etc fuel flooding all over . managed to get home just before end of tank reserve.
Stripped carbs and all looked behaved perfectly . Once throbbing temples have calmed and Ive drunk some rum ..... I'll let ya know .....

I know this is an old thread and I am way late to add much, but there was much talk about moving the needle up or down. I wanted to add the from a Mikuni carb manual which has a table showing the increase or decrease in fuel flow when moving the needle.
