Hello
Have a 1975 Z1-B 900.. Stock engine and carbs, running stock air box with K&N Air Filter Cartridge, Mac 4 N 2 pipes.Stock size tires rims etc. etc.
I use a laser heat detector to check all cylinders are "Lit" before riding...
Sitting on bike, outside right pipe and inside left pipe (# 2 & 4 ??) are a much darker, deeper Blue than other 2 pipes. Heres my question '(S )BTW, Bike runs great despite having 58K miles on it! No "Bog" whatsoever at any rpm;s pulls strong to 8K rpm ( and still pulling ) any gear, well....actually havn't had past 6KRPM in 5th gear..

1. Using laser heat detector pointed at header pipe coming out of each cylinder. Should temp be close between cylinders when bike is warmed up and running?

2.Is it possible the Mac 4 n 2 pipes ( Sold by Dennis Kirk for Z's )with Mac supplied baffling in pipes would require jetting changes??

Thoughts anyone?
Thanks Tennessee Z

It shouldnt, Id suspect some gunk buildup in the cooler running pilot jets or the idle mixture screws arent all the same settings or partially clogged
