I was going to try and start this 19 year stored bike this weekend. My 26 year old son and I thought we could do this project together. It's on hold for now. Several members told me the OR had float b owl drain lines in the wrong place (A HUGE THANK YOU)

If the inlet between carbs 3 and 4 began leaking right away, is this a a carb rebuild issue?

Thanks.

Those tubes coming out of the fuel bowls are overflows and should be looped down in front of the swingarm. The tubes coming out of the inlet manifolds should have bullet-shaped plugs over them and be in non-cracked condition.
Good luck. David

When re-exposed to gasoline, the "fuel pipes" will sometimes quit leaking.

Is this page from Factory Service Manuel? I just bought one on EBay.

We'll fix our float bowl vent line issues this weekend and test that theory. With 95k on the bike (and stored 20 years) my son and I may tear it down and paint it, while the carbs and engine are getting a rebuild.

Thanks
