I TURNED THE MIXTURE SCREW 2 TURNS OUT WHICH WAS WHERE THEY WHERE. COULD THE NEEDLES BE DIFFERENT? THANKS FOR ANY HELP. ITS ON A KZ1000 HERE IS A PIC OF THE CARBS.

Have you checked the carb holders for vacuum leaks?

You didn't mention anything about syncronizing the carbs. Have you done that since putting in the kits? That'll make a big difference. Make sure the small jets are really clean, if they're not, it'll kill your power down low. If neither of these, I'd check your vacuum hoses, as mentioned above.

What do you think caused/fixed the gas leak in the first place?

i beleive it was the needle and seat. i have replace the air mixture screws with the old one and problem has seemed to go away. i guess thats what happens when you buy a cheaper carb kit.

Yeah, I get that leak on random occasions and it always seems to be the float/needle. If i bang on the bowl with something it usually gets it back in place. I swear i blame modern gas with the 10% ethanol cut. These carbs have such issues because they simply werent made for this sort of gas.
