kz1000j carb problem

kz1000j carb problem was created by kawastrtfgtr
i rebuilt the engine oversize with kz1100 pistons,and aftermarket air filters-carbs are stock.jets are stock 37.5-127.5 works good runs good.bike accelerating rpm comes 5000-5500 its caughing and rpm gauge dont want to see up rpms.
its my bike problem; does anyone lives like that problem to his motorcycle and solves it?

:unsure: Runs good but won't exceed 5500 rpm?

its exceed 5500rpm but its caughing starts at 5500rpm; i change fuel level high position, not the original level and it starts to caugh 6250rmp and up caughing...

Go Three sizes larger on the main jets.(135)

You'll have to see. It depends on your engine and altitude.

Might be a little too much. These engines are like to produce power slightly leaner than general, and happily do it thier whole lives.

what are the jets sizes in stage3 jet kit in>? and i found two types of jet kits which is prefered by kz riders?
does it solves my bike problem 5900 up rpms exhaust cracking when accelerating?

The dynojet stage kits are complete different jets. The numbering system is not the same. With Mikuni the # is the Flow of the jet in cc/min, Dynojet is the size of the hole. There is no reliable liniar correlation between the two The Dynojet needles are un-anodized and will last a very short time because they will ware out. DONT mess with the pilot jet. My bike is an 1150 with .420 cams and a head that flows way over 100cfm and I run stock pilots and 142.5 mains. mine is way too rich. Popping exhaust during acceleration denotes a rich situation.

:huh: 135 mains ok? or something else? spark plugs are grey and air screws more than 2-1/2 open?
