need some help was created by fat z
How's it going folks, got a question for ya. I'm looking at a set of factory carbs off of a 1994 gsxr 1100 that are supposed to have a stage 3 jet kit in them. my question is how would these work on my bike. Its a 900 with a 1045 kit, web cams, (its a 118 grind if i remember rite, i was told its the biggest i could go with the shim on top) and head work,(rebuilt basically stock but has been opened up a bit). When i got the motor back the guy that built my motor told me i need to run rs34's. but he said i could get carbs off a suzuki bandit, but I would have to put in a jet kit. I'd love a set of rs34's, but my wallet wont. These carbs seem rite up my alley and the price is rite. my bikes a daily rider, but i ride it hard. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

My guess is that those carbs will be a little big for your application. If you can get them jetted correctly, then you should have a lot of top end power, but will loose some low range throttle response. Not sure what size carbs they are, but those GSXR 1100 motors breath deep. I think they used 40mm carburetors IIRC.

I was thinking they were 36's maybe 38's. how could i tell the difference outside of measuring the motor side of the carb.
