I picked up a set of cv carbs off a 750ltd. They measure just short of 34mm in the back.

can I use these on my 1015cc? Are they any good compared to the gpz and all other 34mm cv's?

Do I have to change the needle? These carbs are like new, and I want to set them up but don't know what size jets to use to start with. HELP! Hope I didn't buy junk.

Otakar where are you!

I got good torque with the timing advanced but it linger at 9 something on the tack. I backed off the timing and now the motor is smoother and sails past 9,10 and heads for eleven. The power curve is smooth linear and just plain awesome.

I learned not to advance the timing to get the torque up, it cuts into the top end and chops it off short and blunt.

All you get is a good bump of torque at between 7 and 85000 and then it stops accelerating.

Now I notice the mph sailing by at higher speed and what I'm tellin you is that it's on.

The bike will get to 130 and sail past it quickly enough and now it's time for 34mm carbs to give me more grunt.

This thing is ready for any gpz once the 34's or on and tuned.

But I have the carbs on the bench and don't want them to stay there, with your help all I have to do is get up off the computer, set up install.

And look out .. There is no doubt this is one fast 1015cc.

Time to go beat it some more.

Love that sound of 9,10 grand! The pull! The acceleration. It all starts at 7 and from there you kinda lose track of time, space, distance.

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Want you guys to know, byt helping me set up these 34's, your creating a monster.:)

the front side of the carbs(the side that goes into the head)is where you need to measure to see what size they are.
not the back,:pinch: .

sorry to be of no help.
