Can someone out there help me with an oem air filter number for a 1979 kz1000e1 or kz1000st. I know I can get a K&N but $77.00 is a bit much. Emgo jumps all around kz1000 but a e or shaft drive is different I guess:S

Did some digging on google for you, found this part number referenced for the kz1000e1.
K-11013-1015
Came off of this webpage, I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate or not, but thought I'd throw you what I could find. ]

For the 1979 KZ 1000 E1 Zedder software gives AIR CLEANER ELEMENT as part #11013-1015 and AIR FILTER ELEMENT as part # 16099-002. I haven't got a clue what the difference is between them, hopefully you 1000 guys can explain the discrepancy.:S

Hello gas, I've got a NOS K&N that I'm pretty sure will fit on your KZ1000, its at home so I'd need to check the box. I was told it would fit my '75 KZ400D, but its the wrong style for mine. Its the
KA-1150 model
. I can look on the box tonight and see what others it says it'll fit. If it'll fit yours and you're interested how's $40 shipped sound?
