If you're mechanically inclined and can follow a manual they are very easy. They are basically like an old 2 stroke carb, no diaphrams or accellerator pumps. There's a ton of info on this site. search "clear tube test" to set the floats and you can bench sync them using a wire gauge. Once bac on the bike you'll probobly want to vac sync them and obviously make minor adjustments to the air screws.

I left mine assembled and just removed the float bowles and caps to clean. Blew out all the passages with compresed air. The Sudco kits don't come with the float bowl drain o-ring and mine leaked, so you might want to pick those up along with new bowl/cap screws.

I'm a firm believer that with the help of experienced others, (of which there are many on this forum!) and parts diagrams like the ones on Kawasaki.com, or bikebandit.com, (the latter of which is easier to navigate in my opinion) you can conquer just about any of these old carbs yourself. When you do get it figured out, your sense of self satisfaction will make it all worth the headaches you may incur along the way!
