I just picked this up this weekend.. 79 kz1000
I love it.. however in neutral or clutch in.. this thing revs almost like its at full throttle... I have no RPM gauge at this time... is there a quick way to adjust to drop idle.. until I can have time to bench set these.. and adjust..

Thanks

Huck

inbetween #2 and 3 carb there should be a thumb screw to adjust the idle. check and make sure that the cables ar not sticking also.Check the clamps on the intake boots and make sure they are tight also as a vacuum leak will cause this problem too.are the vacuun plugs on the intake boot (were you would install vacuum gauges to sync the carbs).Since you just got the bike I would spend some time and check all the nuts and bolts to make sure nothing will come apart going down the road as for it will make a big mess of you and the bike and what ever is in the way.

Good luck and be safe.
