Cold weather and carb cleaning

I'm currently soaking my carb bodies in solvent. It was in the basement until i realized that having a solvent in the basement might be a bad idea next to the furnace. I moved it outside but it's currently -20 Celsius out there and I'm worried about the effectiveness of the solvent in cold weather as well as the effect of the cold on the carbs?

Am I being paranoid?

I don't see how it would make any difference unless it got so cold that the solvent were to freeze.

I would wait until Spring and warmer weather. I keep all solvents in the garden shed. Reason being that if there is ever an accident or fire the insurance companies will always look for some reason not to pay.

Outside is fine, thats where most of our stuff is kept, and it never freezes.
