air fuel mixture screw loose was created by pg4827
After I adjust the air/fuel mixure screw on my VM26 carb the popping in the exhaust goes away. Then I ride the bike for a while and it starts popping again. Then I readjust it and it goes away again.
1. can the spring that holds the screw in place be bad?
2. Or do I need to replace the screw?
3. should I use lock tight to hold screw in place?
4. has any one experienced this before?

your spring is probly bad. I wouldn't try using locktite to hold it in, you will end up stripping the screw trying to get it out if you ever have to, and then it will be stuck in there forever

You might be able to stretch the spring out and cure the problem.Make sure someone before you didnt put in the wrong spring.
