I have a 76 900LTD and want to go to a z1 airbox. Has anyone ever done this? I don't think there should be any problems but thought I'd check here first. I have cones on it now and am having trouble dialing it in. I have the original air box but the rubbers are hard and not much fun installing. Really like the z1 style box.

Thats great JT! I'm gonna go for it. Looks like you have a great ride there. Love the paint and detailing. Thanks for the info.

I use only Z1 airboxes on my 1976 KZ900 carb testing bikes. One has a drum rear brake and the other a disk rear brake which affects the ability to pull the battery out from the side. I have to pull the battery on the disk equipped bike out from the top. The Z1 airbox fits easily on either style.

1974 900 Z1 modified to look like a LTD , some engine mods. But I still have all the original parts.

If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?
