I've got two nipples without vacuum plugs on the. Are they supposed to have hoses coming off of them or do I just put some plugs on it and forget about it

Does your bike have the Kawasaki supplied smog gear(reed valves in the head, vacuum lines and an air switch in front of the coils under the tank?

Normally, the nipples for carb sync have no other lines going to them. If yours are missing, Z1 can get replacements for you as the engine will run lean without them.

well when tri gave me his old boots they were missing already. That being said my old ones had the plugs still on them so I can use them if need be.

they had smoig lines running to em and i did not check to see if had more nipples to plug em..that said i should check the boots on my MKII when i go to set timing and see if i can start riding it this weekend...plug em...unless you have the rubber snorlkes coming of you exhaust side cam covers.(up through under the tank by the coils).then if you do you may wanna look for two small black rubber lines coming off all that plumbing that would reach down to those two intake boots,as that was the orig routing location imo
