Manual Petcock or Vacuum?

Well, after rebuilding my petcock with all new hardware, it seems it still wants to leak when on the "On" position. My current setup is for a Vacuum based Petcock, so my question is can I get a new one which is just manual one or would you suggest just getting another vacuum based one?

manual= less parts to break or fail but you have to remember to turn it off.

I'd have to say vaccuum. The manuals cause a lot more grief in my experience anyway.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Any clue on a realistic price for a new one? I only found one on Bikebandit for 79$

Keep an eye out on eBay.

In the last week alone, I've seen probably about half a dozen different NOS Kawi petcocks listed there.
Covina, So Calif!
78 KZ650-B2 = SOLD
84 ZN700 LTD = SOLD
84 ZX750 GPz = SOLD
89 GSX1100F Katana = SLEEPING :-/
20 VN1700 Vulcan Vaquero (the Blue Cowboy)
Looking for my next project KZ

partsnmore.com has some manual petcocks in the yamaha section for $29 that are really nice. Just a thought.
