BS36? single carb mod was created by Kitten Tooth
Im trying to decide what to use as a carb on my single carb switch over for the gokart... when i bought my 1981 KZ1000, it came with some carbs off of a 1982 KZ1100. I bought a stock set for the 1000 and swapped them out so now i have this extra set of carbs just sitting in a box. I was wondering, if i took cylinder 1's carb since it only has one main fuel opening, is it possible that i could make a manifold and have it function with the proper jets on my 76' KZ400 as a single carb? Its a complete carb, i just have to set that carb up with a slot for the cable on the throttle arm. Also, i have a source for a craftsman lawntractor frame and everything so the kart is on its way to the road:)

the lawnmower frame scares me,they dont handle very well in their intended form let alone with a loose nut behind the wheel connected to a motorcycle engine! :woohoo:
i think a smaller around 27-32mm cv style carb would work better, might be the one good place for a cv style carb in my book!
it will rely more on engine vacuam to help control it which i think would be less of a shock on the chassis compared to cracking a slide wide open and dumping the clutch

for the lawn mower frame, i decided that i would add a.. wheelie bar:D and extend the wheels out maybe a foot and a half for a bigger wheel base. do you guys think it would even sputter with a carb that big on there?
