I Need Baseline Settings. Please Advise. was created by glennhudson
Hi.
I purchased a set of Mikuni Kogyo MIC's with the accelerator pump.
I pulled them apart to clean them.
I now need baseline settings for the item #33 (it has a spring & protrudes out the bottom of the bowl for adjusting) in the individual carb schematic, as well, baseline settings for the air/fuel mixture screw & the accelerator pump linkage.
Any input would be highly appreciated.
-Glenn

That depends on what motorcycle they are going on, whether it is stock or modified, and how the carbs are currently jetted.

1 1/4-1 1/2 turns from seated is generally a good starting point 10.7-10.9mm of thread under nut on pump rod

sounds good plummen.
the air/fuel stating point i recently found and it matches what you've suggested.
that bit about the pump rod linkage sounds good as well.
i may call kaw factory for input about that adjustable item that protrudes through the bowl, adjustable bottom side.
i now believe its called the, "pilot screw".
texaskz, its an '80 ltd chassis, an '81 (maybe a "J") motor.
