Need some help - 1995 KZ1000P Carb was created by ddmcnair
Folks,
Just opened a set of KZ1000P and found that there are no plugs in the tubes that hold the low speed jets. You can see a picture of where they should be at:

Anybody know where I can find a set of these plugs? They are metal with an O ring to seal the tube.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Doug

What happened to the plugs??? Was everything running ok like this?? I guess not right...
You can use anything really, so long as it will stay in there.
If you absolutely must have OEM, then Cycle Parts Nation is a good place to look. They have lots of microfiche parts diagrams, and ship faster than the Kaw dealers.
GL.
PS. I believe those are Mikuni BS34 Carbs.

Thanks, Tech9.
New set of carbs to me and I can't figure out what happened to the plugs (why they weren't in the carbs). Guy said they ran well except popped a little on idle but who knows.
Thought about threading the top of the tube and putting in a stainless bolt but decided to buy a set instead because of the Oring/check valve whatever that is. Found Ron Ayres ( www.ronayers.com/ ) was a much better deal than Cycle Parts Nation who wanted more for the plugs and O rings and wanted $19.20 to ship them (vs. 5.00). I used to buy from Cycle Parts Nation when they charged real shipping fees.
