Make sure throttle cable is lubricated as well as the carb linkage. Also, take the top off ur throttle housing and be sure the plastic cable guide is clean-I lube mine with some old "door_Eze" parafin stuff i had laying around. That might make ur life easier without messing with the throttle spring--u walk a fine line there between comfort and getting the carbs to close as they should.bj

do you have the adjusters linkages set up to mimick a 1/4 turn set up......there are the links at the throttle itself which is where the final slack is set and then there is the carb end with its double 10mm nuts...i take almost all the slack out at the carb nuts and have it set that when very little handle bar/throttle link is taken up,then the throttle has a short throw/stroke imo....this keeps it snappy and also allows me to not be holding the extra cable open ...are you running only one throttle cable...this for me is the first step.......

Owners of these carbs have said in a previous post that the carbs themselves are adjustable and are set at stiffest setting from the factory. I want to know if they can be adjusted while on bike or on bench and how?

The throttle return spring can be adjusted to different positions at the throttle linkage. Best to remove the carbs and look closely at where the two parts bear on one another.

Let me know if it still isn't clear after removing the carbs, I'll take a photo and post it.
